Engineering students from tier 2 and tier 3 cities face a lot of difficulties in finding the right job for themselves. Most recruiters hire candidates from top city colleges, leaving out a large number of students from smaller towns. Millions of young students from tier 2 and 3 cities are yet to be discovered and hundreds of companies are deprived of talented individuals. There is a need to connect mentors from the industry with engineering students from rural areas and to ensure that no diamond is left out. It would enable rural youth to get sustained mentorship and acquire the required skill set to face global challenges in a disruptive age.

PROJECT OUTLINE

Admission of 100 students based on online assessment. 4/5/6 semester students are eligible. Students of all engineering branches.

Attention / Support given not only to their inclass performance but also on their off class studies self-studies and projects.

Hybrid model with online & offline by industry experts. Format – one on many. Program calendar to know the schedules. Multiple parallel classroom sessions for technical skilling – min 10 max 30 per batch.

To grade and display the student performance. Corporates can view for their recruitments. Opportunity to publish CV/Resume – text & video resume.

Pre-assessment, periodical assessment and post assessment. Assignment submission, participation on practical projects. Attendance monitoring – 80% compulsory.

Assistance for internship / employment with industry partners. Job fair at campus by industry.

Industries today not only need the technically skilled, but also the functionally and behaviorally skilled, with more and more industries looking to hire people with skills such as 'Emotional Intelligence', 'Critical Thinking', etc.,. to name a few.
